Mortgage stamp duty – Apartment for sale Singapore

With effect from 22 February 2014, the mortgage stamp duty rate is 0.4% of the loan subject to a maximum of S$500.00. Apartment for sale Singapore.

Example:

a) Assume the loan of $250,000 granted on the mortgage dated 1 Mar 2014

  Mortgage stamp duty = 0.4% x $250,000
= $1,000
= $500.00 (maximum duty)

b) Assume the loan of $90,500 granted on the mortgage dated 1 Mar 2014

Mortgage stamp duty  = 0.4% x $90,500
= $362.00
