- A lease gives a person the exclusive possession of land over a fixed period of time.
- A licence is only to allow a person temporary permission to occupy land.
- That person under licence does not have interest in land.
- A licence may be revoked by the grantor anytime
- A licence is not transferable.
- A licence expires upon the licensee’s death
