Executive Condominium (EC) – HDB flat for rent in Singapore

Executive Condominiums (EC) were introduced to cater to Singaporeans, especially young graduates and professionals who cannot qualify to buy new HDB flats but find private property to be out of their reach. Eligibility conditions

The eligibility conditions for buying an EC are as follows:

  • Applicants must be a Singapore Citizen with a family nucleus (SC + SC or SC + SPR)
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of application. Applicants under Joint Singles scheme must be at least 35 years old.
  • The buyer must form a family nucleus, under one of the following schemes: Public scheme, Fiance/Fiancee scheme, Orphan scheme or Joint Singles scheme
  • Monthly household income must not exceed $14,000
  • The buyer and any occupiers listed in the Application Form or their spouses must not own or dispose or have an estate or interest in any other flat, house, building or land,
  • First-timer buyers can apply for the CPF Housing Grant when buying a new EC from the developer
  • Within 30 months before the date of application, and
  • Between the application date and the date of taking possession of the EC
