The use of CPF monies to buy a flat is subject to CPF Board’s prevailing policies. HDB flat for rent in Singapore.CPF monies can be used for:-
- Partial/full payment of the initial payment
- Reducing the mortgage loan from HDB or banks.
- Partial/full repayment of housing loan and/or to pay the monthly instalments of the housing loan taken for the purchase of the flat;
- Buyer’s sales stamp duty, mortgage stamp duty and legal fees
- Upgrading cost of HDB flat under the HDB Main Upgrading Programme (MUP) and Town Council Lift Upgrading Programme (TCLUP).
CPF monies cannot be used for:-
- Conservancy charges
- Repairs and renovation works
- Seller’s sales stamp duty or legal fees
- COV
