Subletting is arrangement to sublet all or part of a rented property to another person. For example, a tenant (John) rented an apartment from his landlord (Peter). The landlord (Peter) and the tenant (John) signed a tenancy agreement. The tenant (John) subsequently sublet his apartment, with permission from the landlord, to a subtenant (Michael). The tenant (John) and the subtenant (Michael) signed a sublet agreement. Property in Singapore for sale.
In the above subletting example, the tenancy agreement between the landlord (Peter) and the tenant (John) will still remain in effect. The landlord (Peter) will still hold the tenant (John) responsible for his lease obligations or any wrong doing of the subtenant (Michael).
