The Board imposes restrictions on who can or cannot qualify to buy HDB flats. For example, to qualify to buy a new HDB flat direct from HDB, among other conditions, the applicants and authorised occupiers must not be an owner of any private residential property or have sold any private residential property within 30 months immediately prior to the date of making an application to the Board.
