HDB resale flat for rent – The terms and conditions for the $30,000 CPF Housing Grant for Family are as follows:
- All Singapore Citizen (SC) applicants get full CPF Housing Grant
- Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) get $10,000 lesser CPF Housing Grant
- CPF Housing Grant will be paid to the Singapore Citizen only.
- SPR cannot receive CPF Housing Grant
- Bankrupt cannot receive CPF Housing Grant
- Resale flats must not be affected by SERS
- Form family nucleus
- Never bought direct from HDB – first-timer
- If parent & child bought direct from HDB before, the child is still treated as a first-timer. However, sale of the old flat must be completed before applying for CPF Housing Grant
- Income </= $12,000/- per month for couple
- Extended family income </= $18,000/- per month
- Must not own or sold their private residential property over the last 30 months
- Minimum Occupation Period – 5 yrs from effective date of sale
- 5 year time bar from date of possession to apply to buy direct from HDB.
- Cannot buy private residential property during the Min Occupation Period of 5 yrs – up to the exercise date of Option of private property
- Resale flat within same New Town or within 2 km for adjacent New Towns
- Resale flat within 2km from private property
- Applicable for parents/ married child
- Parents/ married child cannot move out for 5 years
- Receiving CPF Housing Grant is treated as having bought HDB direct once
