Any person, who in relation to any application to the Board for its approval under this Act concerning any sale or rental of a HDB flat, makes any statement to the Board which is false shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both.
